Soooo Wednesday I officially got a Job @ Arcedia... as a door to door sales person for Scottish Power. BUT... it's commission based and it's all the way in Cardiff... now commission based wouldn't be so bad if i didn't have to pay for transport but i do... £28 for a weekly ticket :S £100 + for the whole summer.. without any guarantee of a sale.. there's no guarantee of paying it off.
My main push to take it was the sole reason of wanting to be an actress. Sound weird yes i know; but... I figured if i want to become an actress then
- Until i get a part/role i won't have a "guaranteed" salary.. i'm going to have to invest in mySELF
-I'm going to work for my money, and not for the hours
- I'm going to have to learn to take Rejection (trust me I'm going to get alot of it)
- & Acting.. if my day is going bad.. every door i go up to.. i still have to look enthusiastic.
Other reasons i have taken it was because the experience looks good on my CV,
i would have some experience in retail and sales & both add up to definite good skill in customer service.
I'm nervous as you are at the start of any new job, but excited at the same time.. the practise on friday put me at ease.. i have a speech to practise.. i should get to it actually.
*Note to Self* Flat shoes all the way.
